Sukau Eco Camp (SEC) is established with the objective to promote responsible and sustainable practices in the businesses and communities in and around Kinabatangan whilst being a conduit for environmental conservation and awareness.

SEC was built on a 7.7-acre parcel of land along the Kinabatangan River, today known as the Borneo Land Conservancy (BLC), a conservation project spearheaded by BEST Society in conjunction with Borneo Eco Tours.

Since its establishment in 2019, besides playing a role in being an educational platform for researchers and students alike, SEC is also an accommodation for budget travellers who want a more affordable alternative to wildlife and nature experience in the natural surroundings of Sukau, Kinabatangan and is readily equipped to do so with basic facilities including 6 twin sharing rooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 toilets, workstation, kitchen, laundry and a common area.

Travellers looking to stay in SEC will indirectly contribute back to the community as their stay will provide supplementary income through services in housekeeping, maintenance, chef and guide.
